Intracom Telecom reveals its All-in-One Small Cell Backhaul Solution

Athens, Greece - 31 January 2013 - Intracom Telecom, a global telecommunication systems vendor, today announced the launch of its wireless all-outdoor Small Cell Backhaul (SmC) solution, named StreetNode™. The company will demonstrate its uniquely featured product at its stand number 6E80, in hall 6, at Mobile World Congress, 25-28 February 2013, in Barcelona.

The StreetNode™ platform is the climax of innovative engineering addressing the complex problem of having a carrier grade wireless backhaul network at street level, anywhere. It is an All-in-One platform, revolutionizing the architecture of wireless backhaul through its software defined radio operation. Unique deployment flexibility is offered combining optimally Point-to-Multipoint overlay coverage for scalable deployment with in-clutter networking, for extending street-level connectivity. Most importantly, StreetNode™ offers higher practical usability over any other solution in the market, accelerating and facilitating SmC deployment, as well as minimizing the operator's investment and operational complexity.

StreetNode™ operates in a variety of operational frequencies (26 / 28 / 32 / 42 GHz) and can be deployed at street level and on wall surfaces or lamp posts thus reducing significantly the associated site costs. The powerful StreetNode™ for Intracom Telecom's unified Management Suite, uni|MS™, allows for "Zero-touch" service provisioning with advanced SON features that enable "plug and play" connection to the network within a few minutes. This is assisted by a number of innovative technologies implemented on the platform, such as the system's auto-aligning antenna.
