Athens, Greece - 28 February 2012 - Intracom Telecom, a part of SITRONICS, announced today the launch of its leading density wireless backhaul solution, OmniBAS-8W, the only product in the market today combining Point-to-Point and Point-to-Multipoint transmission in a single node. The company is featuring its latest product at its stand number 2C46, Hall2, at Mobile World Congress, 27 February - 01 March 2012 in Barcelona.
OmniBAS-8W is the most compact nodal solution in the telecom market today offering outstanding performance and unique deployment flexibility. The OmniBAS-8W, serves as a packet Nodal, fully compatible with the OmniBAS Native Ethernet Radios while it has been designed to host Multipoint radios with the inherent benefit of spectrum saving and at no compromise on capacity. When configured in Point-to-Point setup, it delivers up to 4Gbps network capacity from a compact 2RU configuration. OmniBAS-8W is equipped with 8 radio paths configured at any combination regarding the use of redundancy and XPIC functionality (4+4 /8+0), offering hitless Adaptive Modulation up to 1024QAM and radio link aggregation. OmniBAS-8W offers full carrier-class Ethernet and IP networking functionality, Quality of Service, Operation Administration and Maintenance (OAM) and all Synchronization options.
