Athens, September 11, 2007 - INTRACOM TELECOM, a part of SITRONICS Telecom Solutions business division, announced today that its subsidiary INTRACOM MIDDLE EAST is deploying the End-to-End WiMAX Network for ZAIN Bahrain, one of the leading telecommunications operators in the country. This USD 10.2 million total-valued project will be completed by the end of this month.
INTRACOM MIDDLE EAST is in the final stage of delivering a turn-key ISP Network employing WiMAX access technology to enable portable, fixed and nomadic voice and data services over the air. This state-of-the-art broadband solution will provide wireless high-speed internet and voice services complementing traditional wireline infrastructure in the Kingdom of Bahrain. "The introduction of ZAIN's new wireless, high-speed broadband internet, is the next logical step in our service offering to the Kingdom, as Bahrain has always been the regional pioneer in the telecommunication services arena," said Dr. Ahmed Al Shatti, COO of ZAIN Bahrain. "We have proceeded with INTRACOM MIDDLE EAST, the preferred technology partner for the deployment of the WiMAX network, based on the company's proven track record in carrying out large-scale projects in the region," added Dr. Ahmed Al Shatti.

The project is executed through the use of cutting edge technologies provided by Cisco Systems for the ISP Network and Redline Communications for WiMAX access. Additionally, INTRACOM MIDDLE EAST will use ZAIN's existing operations and business support systems in the provision of the new WiMAX services.
ZAIN plans to commence operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in early 2008 and with the recent award of an extended 15 year nationwide license in Iraq, mtc atheer will soon re-brand to ZAIN. All new and acquired operations will be branded Zain in the future.
