Dynamic participation of INTRACOM TELECOM at exhibitions, in Dubai
INTRACOM Middle East, Intracom Telecom's subsidiary, strengthens its visibility in the Middle East

Dubai, April 26, 2007 - INTRACOM TELECOM, a part of SITRONICS Telecommunication Solutions business division, through its subsidiary, INTRACOM Middle East, participated in 2 very important Middle East exhibitions, with the aim to further expand its activities in the region. Specifically, the company participated in the ARABCOM 2007, the 10th exhibition telecommunications exhibition in the Middle East whose participants were key players of telecom industry, international IT corporations, ISPs and telecom operators, as well as in the WIMAX MEGNA exhibition where INTRACOM Middle East was one of the 6 exclusive exhibitors.

During ARABCOM 2007, Stavros Vougas, Managing Director of INTRACOM Middle East, had a chance to discuss his corporate focus with representatives of state governments as well as experts within the industry to trigger possible cooperation and expansion of Middle East operations. Furthermore, INTRACOM Middle East strengthened its visibility within the region by giving interview to Iraqi based satellite TV channel Al Hora, while explaining its primary products and their inevitable advantages over the competition. Attention to detail was reserved for WIMAX, Foris NG, end-to-end Triple-Play platform (fs|cdn), backhauling solution (WIBAS) and INTRALINK (IDR-C & ISR). The broadcasting will take place throughout the whole of Middle East.

The close scope of the WIMAX MEGNA and its concentration on one product from many different angles was a presumption for high potential of new business opportunities for INTRACOM Middle East, and for INTRACOM TELECOM. Next to the relevant WIMAX solution, a significant number of fixed and mobile operators were interested in our backhauling solution, WIBAS (Advanced broadband wireless solution). Its popularity is seen in supporting the requirements for both traditional and much needed next-generation networks.

Intracom Group is among the first Greek organizations with presence in the Arab world. Ten years ago, the Group has started its activities in the region and since then has been exporting and has developed strategic partnerships with more than 15 telecom operators in the Arab world, such as: Syrian Telecommunications Establishment (STE), ITC in Saudi Arabia, Mobile Telecommunications Company (MTC) in Kuwait, VODAFONE in Egypt, Etisalat and Thuraya in the United Arab Emirates.
