Athens, Greece - 21 February 2011 INTRACOM TELECOM, a part of SITRONICS, announced today that it has received the compliance certificates for its wireless access & transmission portfolio of Point-to-Point, Point-to-Multipoint and WiMAX platforms according to the Ministry of Communications & Mass Communications of Russian Federation requirements. These certificates reassure the systems' interoperability performance and functionality and are a significant enabler for the company to further promote sales of its wireless products in Russia.
More specifically, INTRACOM TELECOM has renewed the certifications for its point-to-point radio platform (INTRALINK) and its point-to-multipoint Backhaul & Access system (WiBAS), which were originally awarded in 2008. Both platforms have been extensively deployed to the leading Russian telecom operator, the MTS Group.

Legacy circuit-based services are seamlessly emulated with Pseudo-Wire (PW) technology and are delivered with assured top quality. Incorporating highly efficient traffic handling mechanisms and bandwidth utilization techniques, OmniBAS assures carrier class service delivery with highest availability.
In 2010, the company received the compliance certificate from the Russian authorities for its WiMAX Access solution, OmniMAX, which has also been certified by the WiMAX Forum and was recently put in a pilot deployment in the CIS region (Cornet's network in Armenia).
