Countdown to the 1st Albanian Telecom Forum
Tirana - October 21, 200 - Preparations are underway for the 1st Albanian Telecom Forum entitled "ICT Convergence in the Era of Unified Communications: Bringing Academia & Industry Closer - Exploring Albania's Opportunities," taking place on 10 November 2009, at the Sheraton Tirana Hotel.
The scope of this new forum is to bring together the industry, academia, and government authorities, to provide a networking platform for the Albanian ICT community and the region. The Forum's goal is to become the annual meeting point for key players in the country's ICT community together with their international counterparts, and also provide the foundation and inspiration to advance Albania's future and regional standing in the ICT industry.
The participants of this forum will have the chance to explore Albania's national and regional opportunities and discuss the respective challenges and prospects within a C-level audience. The confirmed speakers -so far- include the CEOs of all major telecom operators in the country (ALBtelecom, AMC, Eagle Mobile & Vodafone Albania), keynote speakers from the Athens Information Technology College, the Rector and the IT faculty Dean of the Polytechnic University of Tirana and the CEO of the host company.
The forum is organized by INTRACOM TELECOM Albania S.A., along with the scientific support of the Athens Information Technology College and the support of the Polytechnic University of Tirana. The media sponsor of this year's forum is Monitor Magazine.
