JSC SITRONICS Presenting Telecom Solutions at CeBIT 2007

JSC SITRONICS (LSE: SITR) will take part in CeBIT, the largest technology exhibition in the world dedicated to information and telecom solutions. The event will take place from 15 to 21 March 2007 in Hanover (Germany). This year Russia is for the first time participating in the exhibition with 'Partner Nation' status.

SITRONICS exhibition stand with a total area of 165 m2 will present solutions developed by several business divisions of the company. SITRONICS Telecom Solutions, with its affiliated Intracom Telecom (Greece) and Sitronics Telecom Solutions Czech Republic (previously known as STROM Telecom) will present solutions for communication operators. The consolidated exhibition stand of the Russian Federation Ministry of Information Technologies and Communication will display SITRONICS microelectronic solutions and IT solutions in the educational sphere.

The primary focus of SITRONICS stand is on digital television. Stand visitors are able to have a look at the platform for IPTV services (Triple-Play: voice, data and video), a solution providing IPTV services to PC users without additional devices, and Set-Top-Box equipment developed within the framework of the joint project of STMicroelectronics and JSC NIIME I Micron for cable, satellite, terrestrial and IP TV broadcasting on a Russian component base. The exhibition stand will also present a convergent billing system, a platform solution for NGN networks, Wi-MAX class solutions and solutions in IP Multimedia Subsystem sector.

JSC NIIME I Micron will demonstrate microelectronic solutions for the production of smart cards, including transport cards and SIM cards of various types, at the exhibition stand of the Russian Ministry of Information Technologies and Communication. Kvazar-Micro, the SITRONICS IT Solutions business division, will show a multimedia educational system to the Exhibition visitors, composed of an interactive classroom, laboratory equipment and multimedia textbooks.

The President of JSC SITRONICS Evgeny Utkin has said: "CeBIT is the largest worldwide exhibition of information and communication technologies. Our enterprises have participate in it since 1996. We have traditionally viewed CeBIT as a powerful tool for expansion of contacts. The fact that Russia has achieved CeBIT 'Partner Nation' status this year is particularly important. It means recognition of a nation that possesses not merely oil and gas, but also high technologies, innovative production and highly skilled specialists."
